Since 1997 Attorney Layne has been duly licensed to practice law in the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts

* Appointed to the Massachusetts District of the Federal Court;
* Notary for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;
* Commissioner of Deeds for the State of New Hampshire;
* Licensed Real Estate Agent; and
* Title agent with First American Title Insurance Company.

He has practiced before the District Court, Family & Probate Court, Housing Court, Juvenile Court, and Superior Court of Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, and Norfolk County.

He has appeared before Administrative Boards such as:

* Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD);
* Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV);
* Town/Municipality Boards; and
* Federal and State Professional Licensing Boards.
